Eastern Veil Nebula

Taken by: Bob Finnigan and Lee Green
Date: 6/29/2011
Exposure: 45-30-30-30-90-90 LRGBHaOIII

Taken over several nights the Eastern Veil shows delicate tendrils of Hydrogen and Oxygen gasses that were expelled during a supernova explosion that is thought to have occurred over 1400 years ago. This section of the Eastern Veil is only a small part of the colorful larger cloud.
