Corona Australis is a small constellation that lies south of Sagittarius and east of Scorpius. Its distinctive semi-circle of stars is seen as a laurel wreath at the foot of Sagittarius. Corona Australis is best visible during the summer months. Corona Australis is remembered as the wreath placed in the stars by Bacchus in honor of his mother Semele.
