Rosette nebula in the hubble pallet
This is my first image using the Hubble pallet (Ha = Green, O3 = Blue, S2 = Red). The use of narrowband filters allows fine detail to be captured of this star nursery some 4500 light years away. The FOV of this image is a little less than 2 degrees by 2 degrees or about the size of a fingernail at arms length. http://www.astrobin.com/34820/
Taken by: Craig Prost
Date: 3/2/2013
Exposure: 18 X 900 second Ha, O3, S2
