Telescopium, a small dim constellation the represents a telescope, is located south of Scorpius and Corona Australis not fat from its counterpart Microscopium. Telescopium was invented by Lacaille and as with most of his constellations, it contains dim stars that were previously considered part of other constellations. There are no mythologies that are associated with Telescopium and none of its main stars are named.
