Horologium is a small, dim constellation created by LaCaille to commemorate the invention of the pendulum clock. The brightest star in Horologium is 4th magnitude. Horologium lies east and south of Eridanus and extends past the bright star Achernar. There is no mythology associated with Horologium and none of its stars are named.
