Equuleus is a small constellation that lies between Pegasus and Delphinus and north of Aquarius. It is seen as the head of a small horse. Equuleus is a relative dim constellation whose main stars are 4th magnitude. There are no mythological stories explicitly associated with Equuleus, some believe this was the brother of Pegasus given to Castor by Mercury. Also call the small horse, the first horse or the filly, rises just before the larger and more famous Pegasus.
